Dear friends:

Thank you for looking at my website. You probably want to know who I am and why I want to be a judge. The truth of the matter is I love the law! There is nothing like being an attorney fighting for my client’s rights, being in trial, and working on all the components it takes to represent my clients well.

I’m excited there is going to be an opening for Judge of the Superior Court in El Dorado County.  Many of my peers are also excited because they have worked with me and tell me I have the right demeanor to be a judge. They know I treat everyone with courtesy and respect. They also know the amount of long, hard hours I put into each client’s case to do my job right.

I know how a courtroom works during a trial because I’ve done it for 16 years. Many of my cases have been tried with a jury verdict, and many have been settled. I have had all kinds of clients from wealthy ones to indigents. Every client is treated equally.  This courtroom trial experience is priceless. I have seen how diligently the judges work to prepare themselves for the case of the day and how they mindfully deliberate before they rule on different particulars of the case or the sentence of the defendant. To be a judge of the superior court will allow me to use all my skills, expertise, and knowledge of the law.

As Socrates said, “Four things belong to a judge: to hear courteously, to answer wisely, to consider soberly, and to decide impartially.”

My family, friends, and peers believe I have the four qualities of which Socrates spoke. So, with the encouragement of my wife of 30 years, my friends, my peers, elected officials, and community leaders I am running for the position of Judge of the Superior Court of El Dorado County.
